5 kilometres to the north-east of Whangarei city centre, on the corner of Kiripaka Rd and Otuhiwai Crescent.
The 2006 census population
for Tikipunga was 6114, an increase of 7.8% from the 2001 census. Approximately 2000 people travel through Tikipunga to the adjacent
rural area with many lifestyle blocks and to the Tutukaka Coast area including the settlements of Ngunguru and Matapouri.
Trinity Church
is part of the “The Whangarei Uniting Church” (WUC), which incorporates three parishes, St Andrews (Whangarei city centre),
St James (Onerahi) and Trinity (Tikipunga). The WUC is affiliated to the Presbyterian, Methodist and Christian Churches of New Zealand
denominations and has a common constitution. Under the constitution each parish may determine the Parish’s own polity.
The vision of

16. Trinity Church is a warm and loving group of people that is welcoming of any visitors or new members/attendees.
